About

Human stories deserve to stay human.

VieVid helps schools and organisations create honest conversations across generations, cultures and lived experiences — then preserve those stories with care.

Founder

Zoie Carroll

Zoie is an Australian entrepreneur and storyteller whose work has long centred on human connection. She first founded Zottie Dottie to challenge the stigma around mental health, creating a place where people could share honest stories of adversity and resilience. The project grew to include voices from 27 countries.

That work earned Queensland Young Achiever recognition and seed support from the Wilson Foundation through the Foundation for Young Australians. Zoie went on to speak at National Leadership Camps and Suicide Prevention Australia events, addressed crowds at Sydney Town Hall and startup conferences, and achieved the highest overall score in an accelerator program led by entrepreneurs Creel Price and Richard Branson.

She later spent more than four years with the Fijian Consulate General & Trade Commission, building relationships across government, business and communities. As that chapter grew, her passion project had to pause — but its purpose never left.

Now, as AI and social media reshape how we learn, communicate and remember, Zoie is returning to that purpose through VieVid: safeguarding human engagement and helping people take greater care over how their stories are captured, stored and shared.

Advisors

Backed by people who've spent their careers enriching the lives of others.

Dr Juliette Tobias-Webb

Dr Juliette Tobias-Webb

Behavioural scientist

Juliette has spent her career studying how people decide, connect and change. She holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cambridge and graduated with honours in psychology from Bond University, where she and Zoie first met. She is Professor of Practice in Behavioural Science at the AI and Cyber Futures Institute and Director and Chief Behavioural Scientist of her own consultancy, with past roles at the Commonwealth Bank, Ogilvy and the Behavioural Insights Team.

She advises VieVid on the psychology behind real storytelling — empathy, belonging and what makes people open up on camera.

Tom Moore

Tom Moore

Veteran & founder

Tom joined the Australian Army as a rifleman and became an infantry platoon commander, serving in Afghanistan before being injured on duty. After struggling to find work as a veteran, he co-founded WithYouWithMe — the social impact company that helps overlooked talent into tech careers — and led it as CEO for seven years, growing it across three continents.

He advises VieVid on building programs with purpose — and helps Zoie understand just how important it is to safeguard sensitive information.

How we work

We only leave a school or a company once the people there can run an interview without us. That's the whole point.

Consent first

Nobody appears on film without knowing exactly where it will be shown. Every program starts with plain-language consent built in.
